Nexium® 24HR 20mg esomeprazole Magnesium Starch is used to treat acid reflux, heartburn, and ulcers. It contains a dosage of 20 mg of esomeprazole, which is an anti-seizure medication. Ask your doctor if you are not sure whether any of your medicines should be taken at the same time as your Nexium. Taking Nexium with antacids may help prevent heartburns. Take Nexium at least 2 hours before or after antacid tablets containing or magnesium stearate (Nexium) oil. Take Nexium at about the same time each day, with or without food. Do not take Nexium more than once a day. Ask your doctor about the time when you should take Nexium. Taking Nexium with blood thinners is not recommended. Ask your doctor about the dosage and other drugs you are likely to take with antacids. Use proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) after the fact in the rare case they may lead to a significant increase in the level of antacid in the stomach. Nexium should not be taken at the same time each day. Taking Nexium with digoxin (Lanoxin®) or warfarin (Coumadin®) may help prevent heartburns. Nexium should be taken at the lowest dose and for the shortest duration needed and in the same manner as other antacids. Do not take PPIs with any medicines that contain nelfinavir (Viracept®). Before taking Nexium with digoxin (Lanoxin®), you should tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, a prior history of peptic ulcers, liver disease, a history of peptic ulcers or other gastric problems, a history of peptic surgery, or if you are taking any other medicines. Nexium should not be taken with digoxin (Lanoxin®) or warfarin (Coumadin®). It is not known if Nexium passes into your breast milk. Dosage: 1 tablet per day; 2 or more breast feedings per day If you are taking Nexium 24 hours before or after breast feeding, take the following dose orally with water: Nexium 24 hours before or after breast feeding, 1 or 2 times daily, while taking Nexium 24 hours before or after breast feeding. Do not take Nexium 24 hours before or after breast feeding, 1 or 2 times daily. For optimal results, breastmilk should be breast-fed at the same time each day. Do not drink extra fluids while taking Nexium.
